Science Activity: Taste and Touch Exploration
The UKG students had an exciting and exploring activity - the senses of taste and touch. The children were introduced to a variety of food items like lemon, ginger, raisins, and salty biscuits. Each student had the chance to taste these items and describe the different flavours they experienced.
The UKG students shared their feelings as they tasted each food item. Some found the lemon sour, while others described the ginger as spicy. The raisins gave a sweet taste, and the salty biscuits were, as expected, salty.
In addition to tasting, the children also touched different textures and explored how they felt. They described the items as smooth, soft, rough, or hard, engaging all their senses and learning about the differences in textures.
The experience was enjoyable, and each child had a great time discovering new tastes and textures, sharing their experiences with their classmates.
