Field trips play an important role in learning. They link the classroom experience with the outside world and in doing so they drastically improve the process of learning, and also give both the learners and educator valued practical experience.
This educational, interactive experience is sure to leave a lasting impression with the geckos.
The Kindergarten children of Grade Nursery, LKG and UKG of “Brahmavid The Global School” went on a field trip to ‘D-Mart -The Supermarket’ on 5th of October 2018.
The super market is a wonderful place for children to be made aware of and learn about different kinds of foods and other things available there. On their visit to the super-market, children were made to identify the types of foods found there.
They also learnt where foods came from before they arrive at the super-market store (from plants and animals).
They were shown different sections of the super-market (fresh fruits & vegetables section, grain section, toiletry section, meat/dairy/frozen food section, bakery, and canned goods. Our Geckos identified healthy and unhealthy food very enthusiastically. They exclaimed confidently that chocolates, ice cream, cakes, chips etc. are unhealthy although they surely were more excited while exploring the junk food zone. They were also curious to see the frozen food section and explored the meat zone watching fish, chicken and meat quite carefully. Their observations were not restricted to food. They also pointed out items that we use to brush teeth, wash hands, take a bath etc.. They also spent time discussing floor cleaners, detergents and dishwashing soaps mentioning that they clean the germs. It was demonstrated to them how things are bought, billed and paid for.
After returning, we engaged the geckos in a very interesting spider web activity to help them recollect and reflect all that they saw and further discussed the importance of each item they saw at the supermarket.
The trip was a success as the Geckos exhibited high level of enthusiasm and at the same time followed the essential agreements, like walking in a line, listening to their teacher and even greeted people with their smiles. They were principled and it was truly an enriching experience that helped them enhance their social skills.
Yet another beautiful learning in the series of experiential learning. Students of Grade 1 to 3 of Brahmavid The Global School today visited the Parle-G factory in series of “Educational Trips”. During the tour, the children were shown a film which covered the variety of products Parle makes and also how those products are manufactured. The children saw the live production line and could witness the complete cycle from raw material to the packaging. Parle associates were very kind to let children enjoy the fresh production of the Biscuits and Chocolates. The students and mentors enjoyed and had an exciting day.
In series of Educational Trip students of grade 4-7 went to "Dominos" outlet. Students experienced making of pizzas in the Dominos kitchen and learnt about the management of outlets. It was a wonderful experience for them to prepare pizzas for themselves. Hurrah! It was a party time...

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION (14/09/2018)
Hindi Divas or Hindi day (हिन्दी दिवस) is an annual day celebrated on 14 September in India to celebrate the popularity of Hindi as an official language of India. On this day our Nursery kids narrated the Poems in Hindi . The children were made aware that Hindi plays a significant role in connecting the citizens of India.
Hindi diwas is celebrated on the 14th of September each year. This is because the Constituent Assembly of India declared that Hindi scripted in the Devanagari script is the Republic of India’s official language.
It was a moment of pride for brahmaviders to attend an amazing workshop on hindi language by Mr Gaurav Girija Shukla, where they encountered amazing facts about our national language and were pretty excited to come across those facts.

वक्रतुण्ड महाकाय सुर्यकोटी समप्रभ: निर्विघ्नं कुर्मे देवो सर्व कार्येषु सर्वदा.......
Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated in the month of Bhadra of the Hindu Calendar. It was the great nationalist leader and freedom fighter, Balgangadhar Tilak who asserted a national identity by making the worship of Lord Ganpati a community celebration.
The school believes in a clean and green country and is concerned for fast degrading environment caused by air and water pollution. therefore kids, teachers and even the support staff of The Brahmavid made the idols of their favorite God Ganesh with non-toxic clay and without any chemical colours
"Nani teri Morni ko moor le gaye baki jo bacha tha kaale chor le gaye!!"
"Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Maan Jao"
These songs were audible the entire day in the Brahmavid campus along with the blessings of the grandparents for their budding blooms.
Grandparents hold the hearts of grandchildren forever, so it was time for our little ones to THANK them for their love, care and warmth. Our tiny Brahmaviders had planned to take their Grandparents on a ride down the Memory Lane on 07 Sep. 2018, and the theme for the celebration was “Golden Era-70’s 80’s Films”, and all the dada Dadi's and Nana Nani's had to dress like their favourite hero - heroine.
The day is dedicated to teachers who play a prominent role in the life of their students. The teachers act as the guide for life, show the path towards success and enrich the personality of their disciples by imparting ethical and academic knowledge. They bring out the untamed talents of their students and sharpen it in order to bring out the best results.
Janmashtami is celebrated with great devotion and heightened spirits throughout the country. It marks the birth anniversary of Lord Krishna who is believed to be an incarnation of Vishnu as per Hindu religion. Children came dressed in, as Krishna and Radha and other colorful outfits, They wore Peacock feathers and decorated matkas and flutes. They won the soul of spectators by dressing in the attire of Krishna, Gopikas and other various characters and enacting their respective roles perfectly.
Janmashtami, the birth of Lord Krishna and Teachers Day was celebrated with great pomp and festivity by the tiny tots of the pre-primary section. Few dressed as Radha - Krishna and few became their favorite teacher, The day was full of excitement and smiles all around.
It was a day when young Brahmavidians turned into little artisans, With creativity and colours, It was a day when the celebration of love between brothers and sisters began, And making the best ‘knot of protection’ was the only plan.

गुरुर्ब्रह्मा गुरुर्विष्णुर्गुरुर्देवो महेश्वरः
गुरु साक्षात परब्रह्मा तस्मै श्रीगुरवे नमः
"The best form of worship of the guru is to follow his teachings, to shine as the very embodiment of his teachings, and to propagate his glory and his message."
The concept of Guru is as old as humanity itself. The word Guru is derived from two Sanskrit words “Gu” and “Ru” of which the former means ignorance and darkness in a person and the latter means someone who removes that darkness from the person, Primarily, Guru means a 'teacher', it is a universal concept based on the idea of transmitting knowledge from a person, who knows something, to an ignorant student or disciple.
In the modern times, we see Guru in the form of a teacher who shares knowledge in the form of education to their students. Whatever be it he serves the role of a guide who takes his/her students to the path of righteousness and makes them good people to live in the society.
“It’s better to be safe than sorry”.
However, we tend to forget this, become careless at times and risk our as well as others lives.
According to WHO’s Global status report on road safety 2015, more than 1.2 million people die each year due to road traffic injuries. Within recent times, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of road accidents involving children.
Mr T.K Bhoi (Traffic Rule Instructor) introduced the guidelines in the current state of play of road safety in our country , explained our juveniles the need of these rules .He demonstrated the signals and signs related to traffic rules in such an interesting manner that everyone will always remember and try to follow them.
“To Kindle and Nurture any kind of relationship efforts needs to be put in by both the ends”.our children made hand made greeting cards for their fathers letting all their emotion flow through the form of art and the parents on behalf wrote slogans for their wards poster which they made for environment day, this is how we celebrated "Father's Day"
Our excited and enthusiastic tiny tots learned the Asanas and enjoyed doing them, it was such a eye candy moment to watch the ‘generation next’ adopt the ancient Form of Art “yoga” and also was amused to know the sanskrit names to the Asanas.
International Yoga Day also called as world Yoga Day, is celebrated on the 21st of June every year ever since its inception in 2015, is a great effort to emphasize the importance of inculcating this ancient Indian art in our lives. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature and a holistic approach to health and well-being.
"To make tomorrow a better place to live in, Let’s Live today in a green way", with these beautiful lines team "Brahmavid" have taken up the project “GREEN
GOOD DEEDS” to save the degradation of environment. Our Kids took a rally around the city to create an awareness in our surrounding.
